The book “Il Destino in una Parola”, written by our own Erika Salvatori and Emanuele Marra, in collaboration with Labozeta SpA, tells the story of resilience and scientific excellence of our company Takis.
On February 19th, we had the pleasure of sharing this journey at Regione Lazio headquarters with a diverse audience.
Since our start in 2009 during the global economic crisis, Takis has always managed to turn challenges into opportunities, embracing change with speed and agility — a spirit reflected in our name’s Greek origin.
In the face of the 2020 pandemic, we made another pivotal decision, leveraging our DNA vaccination platform against tumors to create a Covid-19 vaccine.
Today, as we confront the global challenge of pandemic preparedness, we are rapidly changing again by enhancing our capabilities with new infrastructures like a BSL3 laboratory and a GMP facility to develop vaccines and therapies against potential pathogens triggering future pandemics.
Retracing the events of our 14 years journey were Gennaro Ciliberto, who also edited the preface of the book, our CEO Luigi Aurisicchio and our CSO Giuseppe Roscilli.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Giuliano Peretti, who served as moderator, and to Massimiliano Maselli and Luciano Ciocchetti, who participated in the event highlighting the significance of investing in scientific research and innovation for the prosperity of our country.
We sincerely hope that our experience may serve as an inspiration for those venturing into high level research and entrepreneurship in Italy and Lazio region.
